Fitness based activities

Activities are all fitness, sport or dance-based such as Zumba, boxing, HiiT sessions, circuits, Clubbercise, dance, health and well-being activities, family activities, healthy-eating support and all other physical activity. Studio Burn Fitness CIC is a new not-for-profit organisation that aims to encourage and promote creativity in County Durham.  

We create and manage fitness and health projects for the local community.  We believe each individual’s well-being and happiness is the key to a healthy, happy community and we aim to engage, educate and inspire all people in particular young people working in partnership with professional instructors.

CARLA

Carla has been involved in several charitable events including Dementia North East and many cancer related events. The aim is to extend her charitable networks in order to refer and signpost individuals to relevant projects to improve their physical and Mental health. Carla also wants to build on partnership working with other Community Interest Company’s in order to nurture future collaborative approaches to project delivery.

Carla has over 20 years’ experience in the fitness industry as a free-lance instructor and has delivered classes and projects across County Durham and Sunderland. Her specialities include boxercise, kick boxing, abstraction, fierce, total tone, power and Zumba.

CRAIG

Craig brings his extensive experience and knowledge of practical maintenance and logistics to the company. As machine repairman for a fitness company for over 25 years he will support the company with regular maintenance checks and risk assessments to the studio premises and any equipment used. Craig will also be the lead for any safety measures needed for projects or events.

CLAIRE JOY

Claire’s focus for the company is to engage with children and young people in order to address common health agendas such as childhood obesity and children’s mental health and emotional resilience.

Claire has 15 years’ experience teaching fitness across the North East. Her specialities are Kettlebells and Zumba. She is very active within the local community, coaching kids’ sessions and supporting women over 50 to keep fit and active.

Claire also lends considerable help with the operational elements associated with the running of the organisation, with a particular focus on planning and management of projects. programmes and events Claire also bring her experience of volunteering to the company.

GAIL

Gail works for the NHS and is a health care professional and wants to support the company with support from a health perspective. Gail will also be supporting the company with administration. Gail has comprehensive knowledge and experience of management systems and will be advising and overseeing administration processes for the company.
